Realtime Tracking — compare your plan with live servers
Install one small agent on a server you control. It opens an outbound HTTPS connection to Pregoo — no SSH, no inbound ports — and sends host and application health on a schedule you choose. Pregoo shows it on a live topology next to the capacity and latency you planned, so every figure is clearly labeled Expected or Live observed. Free for 1 server · every server on Pregoo Plus.
- Outbound-only and read-only — The agent never opens a port, never runs a shell, and reads host metrics from /proc. It does not send environment variables, request bodies, cookies, headers, or logs.
- Expected vs Live, side by side — Live CPU, memory, disk, network, and app checks appear next to the RPS, latency, and sizing from your Pregoo capacity report.
- Live topology — The architecture you designed becomes the live view: click a server or service to see its health, alerts, and recent history.
- You choose what is collected — Pick resources and applications in Pregoo. Snapshots are a few kilobytes, every 30 seconds by default and never faster than 15.
- Small, dependency-free agent — A Python 3.9+ standard-library script with a signed API key and secret. Run it as a service or in Docker beside your workload.
- Alerts and retention — Status changes and thresholds raise alerts in Pregoo, with history kept for trend checks and design reviews.
- Step 1: Design or import the system — Model instances, roles, and apps in a Pregoo project and run a capacity report.
- Step 2: Connect a server — Generate a key, copy the install command, and start the agent on the server.
- Step 3: Compare and improve — Watch live health against the plan, then resize or redesign with real numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pregoo Realtime Tracking free?
Yes. Every account can track one server for free. Pregoo Plus ($7/month, or $5/month billed yearly) tracks every server in your projects.
Does the agent need inbound access or SSH?
No. The agent only makes outbound HTTPS requests to Pregoo. Pregoo never receives SSH, a shell, or access to your application ports.
What data does the agent send?
Only the host and application metrics you select in Pregoo: CPU, memory, disk, network, and local health or TCP checks. It never sends environment variables, request bodies, cookies, authorization headers, query strings, or logs.
Is this a replacement for Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus?
No. Pregoo is a planning tool. Realtime Tracking answers one question — is production behaving the way the design expected? — and keeps that comparison next to the architecture. Keep your observability platform for deep tracing and logs.
